SMS Terms
Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Messages you may receive
1a. Session and booking reminders
- One or more reminder texts before the session (typically 24 hours and 1 hour before).
- A text if you reschedule or cancel.
These are sent by our application (via Twilio) to the phone number you provide with texting consent. We pre-fill that number for you when you’re logged in and have a phone on file with us, but you can change it on the booking screen if you want a different number for that booking.
The act of booking a session is your consent to receive messages relating to that booking. Texts stop automatically when the booking is complete; we don’t keep texting you about a session you already attended. If you don’t want any session reminders at all, don’t opt in to texting on the booking form, and instead rely on email confirmations.
1b. Marketing messages (motivation drops, content alerts, promotions)
If — and only if — you ticked the SMS opt-in checkbox at signup, on your account page, or after purchase, we may text you with:
- Mario’s motivation drops and short coaching reflections.
- Content drop alerts (new audio, new workouts, new replays).
- Occasional promotional offers and member-only deals.
- Site-wide announcements that affect your membership.
You can stop these at any time. See How to opt out below. Marketing texts and transactional texts are governed separately — opting out of marketing does not stop your appointment reminders, and vice versa.
2. Frequency
Marketing message frequency varies. We expect roughly 2–6 messages per month for the marketing category once we begin sending. We don’t send daily, we don’t send at night, and we don’t send for the sake of sending.
Appointment reminder frequency depends on what you’ve booked. A typical booking generates 2–3 messages: confirmation, 24-hour reminder, and 1-hour reminder. Cancellations and reschedules may generate one additional message each.
3. Cost
Fit Beyond Sight does not charge you anything to receive these messages. However, your mobile carrier may charge you for incoming texts depending on your phone plan. Standard message and data rates apply. If you’re on a metered plan or roaming internationally, those messages will be billed by your carrier the same way any other incoming text would be.
If you’re worried about cost, the safest option is not to opt in (or to use email instead of SMS).
4. How to opt out
4a. Opt out of marketing messages
Three options, all of which work:
- Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE , CANCEL , END , QUIT ) to any marketing text. You’ll get one final confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed, and we won’t text you marketing messages again.
- Untick the SMS opt-in box in your account communications settings and save.
- Email info@fitbeyondsight.com from the email tied to your account and ask us to remove SMS marketing.
4b. Opt out of appointment reminder messages
Appointment reminders come from our own application (via Twilio). To stop them:
- Don’t opt in to texting when you book — leave the phone field blank.
- Rely on email confirmations instead — they’re always sent and don’t depend on phone.
- Reply STOP to any reminder text to stop all texts from us immediately; reply START to resume.
4c. Get help
Reply HELP to any of our marketing texts and you’ll receive a short response with our contact email. For longer questions, write to info@fitbeyondsight.com .
5. Who handles your phone number
Your phone number is stored as part of your member record in our own database. We share it with the following sub-processors only when needed:
- Twilio — receives the number at send time to deliver consented texts (confirmations, reminders, opted-in updates).
- Twilio (or an equivalent SMS provider) — if and when we begin sending marketing SMS ourselves, the number you opted in with may be passed to a US-registered SMS provider for delivery. As of the last update of this page, marketing SMS sending is not yet active.
We do not sell your phone number, share it with third-party advertisers, or use it for purposes other than the messages described above. See our Privacy Policy for the broader picture of how we handle personal data.
6. Consent records
When you opt in to marketing messages, we record:
- The exact wording of the consent text you agreed to (versioned).
- The page or screen you agreed on.
- The date and time of consent.
We keep this record on your member account so we can show, if asked, exactly what you agreed to and when. If you opt out, we retain the record of your earlier consent plus the timestamp of your opt-out, so we have a clear audit trail.
7. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to opt in to marketing SMS from Fit Beyond Sight. By providing your phone number and ticking the SMS opt-in box, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the phone number you provided belongs to you or that you have permission to receive messages on it.
8. Carrier disclaimer
Carriers (the mobile networks that deliver text messages) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do our best to send on time, but message delivery is ultimately at the carrier’s discretion.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change any of the above — the kinds of messages we send, the frequency, the sub-processors involved, or the opt-out process — we’ll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes that affect the consent you gave will trigger a fresh in-product opt-in: we won’t quietly expand what you agreed to.
