Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Fit Beyond Sight is built to be private by default. We run our own consent system — no third-party cookie manager — and everything here is first-party: the cookie that keeps you signed in, a small cookie that remembers your choices, a few optional on-device conveniences, and our own privacy-respecting analytics (only if you allow it). We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies at all, and we never sell your data. This page tells you precisely what’s stored and how to control it.

Your first visit (and logged-out visitors)

The first time you arrive — whether or not you have an account, and whether or not you’re signed in — you’ll see a consent banner before any optional cookie or analytics runs. Nothing beyond the strictly-necessary essentials loads until you make a choice. You can Accept all, Reject all, or open Manage preferences to choose per category; optional categories start switched OFF, so doing nothing means nothing optional is set. Your choice is saved in the first-party fbs_consent cookie so we don’t ask again on every page, and we re-ask about once a year or whenever this policy’s categories change. Logged-out visitors are treated exactly the same, and any analytics we record for them is anonymous — it’s only linked to your account if you’re signed in.

What’s a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to remember things — that you’re logged in, that you’ve already seen our consent banner, what plan you’re shopping for. Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others are optional, and we respect your choice on those.

Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories. The consent banner you see on first visit lets you accept or reject each category individually.

Strictly necessary — always active

These are required for the site to function. Without them, you can’t log in, complete checkout, or stay signed in between pages. We don’t ask permission for these because rejecting them would break the site.

Make the site nicer to use

Optional. These remember things like your dismissed banners, accessibility preferences, or whether you’ve seen a particular announcement. The site still works without them — it’s just slightly less smooth.

Help us understand what’s working

Optional. These tell us anonymized things like which pages get visited, how long people stay, and where the friction is. We don’t try to identify individuals — we look at aggregate patterns to make the site better.

Retargeting & campaign tracking

Optional. We don’t currently run retargeting ads. If we add advertising pixels in the future (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads), they’ll only load if you’ve consented to this category. We’ll update this page when that changes.

How to control cookies

Note: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or completing checkout.

Third parties we work with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Our email newsletter is fully first-party (delivered via Resend) and sets no browser cookies. Hosting (Vercel) and our database (Neon) don’t set tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies, change vendors, or shift how we use data, we’ll update this page and update the "last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we’ll also notify members via email.
